Rothenburg Day Tour is educational fun for everyone
Everyone enjoys my Rothenburg Day Tour because approx. 1 hour drive from Nuremberg, seemingly untouched by the passage of time, lies Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It is known for its medieval town center and its mostly undamaged 14th century town wall. In the Middle Ages, Rothenburg was a free imperial city, reaching its apex of prosperity under Mayor Heinrich Toppler in the 15th century.
This tour will take you to all of the interesting, historical sites within the medieval city wall that are integral components of Rothenburg’s rich history. Some of the sites we’ll explore are the Castle Gate and Castle Garden with its view of the Tauber Valley, Plönlein (Little Square) and Siebers Tower, the impressive Spital Bastion, and the Handworker’s House from 1217. After the tour you’ll have time to visit the Criminal Museum, take a walk along the top of the medieval city wall, or just shop and explore all of the alluring side streets and alleyways within this well preserved medieval town.
My Rothenburg day tour is a leisurely, kid friendly, walking tour where YOU set the pace. Please don’t forget to wear comfortable walking shoes.
For parties of six or less, pick-up and drop-off with my personal vehicle from locations within central Nuremberg is FREE. If your party is larger than six people, please let me know so I can give you a quote for the additional costs involved.
I can also customize this Rothenburg tour to take your individual interests into consideration. Just let me know and I’ll be happy to give you a quote for any tour variation that you want.
