My PRIVATE Nuremberg Old Town Walking Tour will introduce you to a beautiful medieval city that was once the heart of a powerful medieval imperial city. This prosperous city provided the ideal foundation for cultural and intellectual life and was a center of economic activity. Even today numerous buildings and monuments reflect its former place within the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.
My tour begins in the Old Town at the Frauentorturm (across from the Grand Hotel).
On our way up to the castle, some of the places we’ll see are St. Lawrence Church, Nassauerhaus, Heilig-Geist-Spital, the Main Market Square, and the Beautiful Fountain.
Also included are Fleischbrücke, Unschlitthaus, Weinstadel, Kettensteg, Tanners’ Alley, Church of St. Sebald, and finally Tiergärtnertorplatz (Albrecht Dürer Haus). We end the tour in front of the New City Hall near the main market square.
Please visit Adventurous Miriam’s blog for some great pictures of the sites you’ll see on my tour.
