My Nuremberg Old Town Walking Tour is best at your own pace
My Nuremberg Walking Tour of the Old Town
will introduce you to a place that was once the center of a powerful medieval imperial city. This prosperous city provided the ideal foundation for cultural and intellectual life and was a center of economic activity. Even today numerous buildings and monuments reflect its former place within the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation.
Why is Sigena important in Nuremberg's history?
What is the significance of the seven little red-clad men who appear on the front of the clock of Our Lady's Church at noon?
How did obscure Nuremberg become the third-largest city in the German empire?
These questions, and many more, will be answered during this walking tour which offers a journey through Nuremberg's rise to greatness, providing historical background and insights in a fun and informative format.
I'll also introduce you to Nuremberg's world-famous lebkuchen and bratwurst.
My tour begins in the Old Town at the Frauentorturm (across from the Grand Hotel).
On our way up to the castle, some of the places we'll see are St. Lawrence Church, Nassauerhaus, Heilig-Geist-Spital, the Main Market Square, and the Beautiful Fountain.
Also included are Fleischbrücke, Unschlitthaus, Weinstadel, Kettensteg, Tanners' Alley, Church of St. Sebald, and finally Tiergärtnertorplatz (Albrecht Dürer Haus). We end the tour in front of the New City Hall near the main market square.

Customer Feedback & Reviews
My wife and I enjoyed spending an afternoon being led by Kevin through the Old Town of Nuremberg. The tour proved to be a delightful learning experience as well as a scenic excursion.
Kevin, who originally came to the area while serving in the U.S. military, then subsequently married a local girl and settled nearby, is not only a repository of knowledge about the history of Bavaria and Franconia but has a storyteller's talent for recounting the historical highlights with a dash of humor that makes some of the otherwise dry facts more memorable.
We especially appreciated his ability to tailor the presentation and to answer our questions in a manner that was readily comprehensible to a couple of retired American tourists. We highly recommend Kevin as a guide to anyone desiring a fun and informative tour of Nuremberg.

Kevin picked us up at the train station and showed us all the historic, cultural, and fun sights. He also showed us a wonderful restaurant in the old town which offered authentic Nuremberg sausages. Great meal!
His tour was well worth the time and at a reasonable cost.

Kevin was an amazing guide! It was the perfect tour for our group of six as we were able to go at our own pace. Kevin REALLY knows his stuff and you can tell he is passionate about history.
We thoroughly enjoyed Kevin's tour. I enjoyed him so much that I booked him again when my family and I visit in December.
